Ticket help!!!
ok so im 17 and i went to Walmart super center in stockton at about 9PM with 3 of my friends. We had went there to talk with a friend who had worked in the store. As it was about time to leave at 11:30PM i notice that it was pass the time for me to drive because i was still on my 12 month. Since only two out of the four of us had a car, me and my other friend. we both took a friend home. so two people in each car. Then i got pulled over while still in the shoping center parking lot. This is what happened.
i didn't know where to go to get out of the parking lot. I had found my way and got to the stop sign onto the main road. I had notice that there was a Cop Car behind me. As i turned on my turn signal he had turned on his siren. I had never gotten pulled over Before so i stayed where i was at. The cop came up to me and said
"pull over to the road." he pointed outside of the shopping center.
So i did what he said. He comes up to me and says
"show me your license and Insurance"
So i did. He walks away and comes back after about 5 minutes. He then says
Read the back of your license. So i did. Witch says that i cannot transport anyone under the age of 21 and cannot drive pass 11pm-am without someone over 21. the cop says.
"your Breaking both of the rules right now."
And walks away. After about 5 more minute he comes back and says
"sign this" As he showed me the ticket that he was giving me.
So i signed it. when he was about to walk away i had asked.
"excuse me but why did you pull me over in the first place? He answers
"because you were speeding in the parking lot, but i didn't put that on your ticket."
This is my first ticket, and i am very surprise that he didn't let me off with a warning or anything. I was just trying to be a good friend by taking him home. The time was 11:30pm. If someone could help me reduce my fine witch i can't offord i would very much thank you.
if it helps, i am a 17 year old asian male with a 2002 honda accord witch has a huge spoiler and a body kit on it. I bought it this way, but i didn't expect cops to pull me over just to look for a reason to give me a ticket.

Just live by a couple of small rules:
Nothing good ever happens after midnight. And ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Go to traffic school, take your lumps, and pay the fine. Oh yeah--and learn from it.

Cops generally "know" there is a problem, comes from years of experience. They then find a reason to pull you over, speeding in a parkinglot works fine for them.
Since the purpose of the law regarding young drivers is to help them not kill themselves, the law serves a purpose.
Cops seldom give warnings anymore, suppose he gave a warning and you crashed two blocks down. He would have a problem back at the office.
You are lucky he let you drive home, he could have impounded the car.
This was an easy lesson for you. Nobody got hurt.
You can usually do traffic school on the internet, whatever you do, don't blow this off, you will get a bench warrant, get picked up some Friday night and spend the weekend in a hellhole of a county or city jail till you see the Judge on Monday.
If he "had it in" for you he could have tossed a baggie of pot into the car and you would have a real problem.
Real world road rules, be nice to cops, they carry guns, don't give them a reason to pull you over.

Yeah, learning from it is the best way. When I was 19, I drove 30 in a parking lot on the wrong side, and they were debating to give me a misdemeanor, fortunately they did not. There were ten cars in the parking lot with a capacity of 400 vehicle spots. I wasn't even in the actual parking lot, but rather about to enter the parking lot. LOL. Learn from it, and be cool about it. He's cool about it!lol

Lol. You have many options, actually. You may either pay the fine and goto traffic school, choose a trial by a written declaration, or plead not guilty and goto court.
Fighting the ticket (you may have a case) by declaration is probably your best bet (unless you pay the ticket outright).
Checkout: http://www.ticketbusters.com. You pay them $195 (in addition to the bail amount) and they will attempt to get your ticket dismissed (60-80 percent positive outcome).
Before you choose any of the above options I suggest you first learn how to spell (it is sad that today's teenagers are more proficient @ playing video games then spelling).

You are also lucky that you do not live in states like New Jersey, Virginia, or Connecticut. Their state statutes would of given the cop the power to not only cite you, but impound the vehicle as well as take you to jail.

We get paid to write tickets,,,, thats what we do,,,
a)traffic school...
b)Because your car is "naturally" attractive to a policeman maintain it perfectly.. keep it clean.. have your douments in order,,
c)dont be afraid to go to your local station and ask them to look at the car to see if it meets all vehicle code restrictions
d) Volunteer for the police explorer program... then you wont be out that late at night... service to your community, service to yourself
When I was 17 I built a harley chopper (what was I thinking... what were my parents thinking),,anyway..it was around 1970.....hippies and long hair were the norm....( I had long hair,, really long.) I got stopped everyday and received a fix-it ticket for loud exhaust.. so I would have to pack the muffler with steel wool.. go to dmv.. have them sign it off.. then remove the steel wool... it took me about 10 tickets to figure out a quieter life might be more conducive to positive living... 3 years later I became a policeman and never looked back,,,

If you break laws- you can't blame the cop, the government, or your parents... ...you can only blame yourself.
Learn responsibilty.
In any case, good luck, and don't do it again.

Dear Kenshin (aka, unpimp my ride)
I think it is time to "unpimp your ride." There is more to life than a car. Especially a "ho-hum" 02 Accord. For the amount of money you invested in the spoiler and body kit you could of used for a very nice hybrid mountain bike (which chicks dig because it will keep you in good shape), or put the money away for college, a rainy day, or both....
