Ahh, another trip to my favorite area in the entire world, Orange County, CA, which I soon will call home

Never been there end of February so I wondered about the weather? What's it typically like? I'll be inside most of the days, but outside early morning and early evening...

I know it's wetsuit weather for surfers

The typical averages aren't much help anymore... felt like winter last week, and summer the past 2 days. Best just to check the extended forecast before you leave!

Most of the time here, you either need a sweater/light jacket or you don't.
It was 87 today.

The average is high 40's to high 60's. Yes, it is wetsuit weather for surfers. If you have a wetsuit, the cold water cannot penetrate at all, keeping you perfectly warm.

You're welcome (even though I didn't contribute to this thread). I'm sure you can't wait to get here from Michigan, where I understand it's COLD compared to here (64 degrees and sunny right now).

Isn't this also rainy season in Southern California? (Not that it rains that often around here...)

Hee hee! Yes, it's been in the 10-25 F range as of late and we have the biggest snow storm of the year coming tomorrow LOL

Going on business so didn't pick this as my first choice of time of year to go, but will be back 1-2 more times this year I'm sure

I would say the average day temp in the winter is high 50's to mid 60's. It changes constantly. Like another poster mentioned, 2 weeks ago we had record breaking heat. Now we're pretty back to normal being in the mid to high 60's.

As far as rain?? What's rain?? We've had very very little.

You'll do just fine wearing a sweat shirt, light jacket or sweater. But with you being in the mid-west, you'll probably be wearing shorts and laughing at us when we complain it's too cold
