Default High Utility Costs-Yucaipa Valley Water District

It seems everytime i turn around the electric, gas, water, trash & sewer rates are outragiously increased in so.ca.The not so friendly/trustworthy yucaipa valley water district (yvwd-yucaipa,ca) has increased the sewer rates quite high as well as water & the ripoff service charge. Now as of 11-08 they are imposing a 15% surcharge fee on water usage. They recently received a 750k grant.I cant do anything about it (i have tried & tried) & that really stinks.

We as utility customers have no say so in these creeps ripping us off.The yvwd did disable their email address due to numerous complaints from citizens of yucaipa/calimesa.These people make me sick & are such cowards...wow!

A lot of water districts around SoCal are raising rates due to drought conditions and decreased imports from Northern Ca. We live in a desert and water is scarce....

All of California has experienced decreased rainfall over the last couple years. In Sacramento ABC recently reported that this year's and last year's wet seasons (July-June) were the two driest in the last several decades.

The rude thing is the yvwd didnt reply back via email & answer some of the customers questions/concerns.Their lame action was to disable their email address.Thats what i call cowardly. The boards of directors & Joe Z need to pull their heads out of their behinds & get with the program. It seems Yucaipa,ca is full of rude, inconsiderate people(mostly utility companies, politicians & a few other creeps).A few people on city-data can vouch for me on this one.

You're right.I called the CPUC (ca public utilities commision) & they told me to contact the city officials (city hall) cause they have no control over local water companies. The city officials dont care & are only concerned about me me me.UGH!!!!

I could not agree with you more . But the real problem is not with the water Co. but with the City of Yucaipa and the increased grouth they the council has incouraged . Over building! , increased demands on the water supply! all the time they were saying that there is plenty of water, when in fact they new , they had the knowelage that there would be a problem later, but they wanted the fee's that the building boom would bring to their bank accounts. The one good that has come from the Real Estate down turn is that the 1,000 or so planed homes in the city that have been put on hold + other development may give us a break and hopefully some rain this winter will help . But don't count on water or sewer rates going down , thats one fee that only has one direction and that is UP!

BOTTOM LINE....It all comes down to pure greed & not planning right.YVWD needs to clean house & get rid of the bad apples.Disabling your email address is something a pimple faced teen would do & not a mature adult.Sad.....

My sewer rate has increased again. Its damn near doubled in 3 short yrs.No wonder the yvwd disabled their email address as well as the general manager Joe Zoba.I can honestly see now why this is the most disliked company in yucaipa,ca.Pure greed & so cowardly...wow!
