Default Driving Tahoe City-Albuquerque. NEED ADVICE!

Hello-
I'm desperate for some advice on my upcoming road trip. I'm relocating from North Lake Tahoe to Albuquerque and when I go online to route out the trip I get a bunch of different options. If anyone knows the roads, I'd appreciate your advice!
I'm leaving at 6pm and will be driving all night. I'm also pulling a horse trailer, loaded with my belongings, the horse is going through a professional shipping company.
The 3 options I've seen are going to Sacramento and taking the 5 South, Taking 395 South through California or taking 95 South in Nevada. I'm looking for the route with the fastest drive time, meaning no little towns with 35mph speed limits. Also, the less mountainous route as I don't want to destropy the brakes on my vehicle.
Please Help!!
Thanks so much

Hey!

When we moved to NM we took the 10 fwy. The best is the 8 through Imperial County then to the 10 in AZ and take the 25N fwy in NM out of Las Cruces to Northern NM. Very smooth. HOWEVER, each freeway going out of CA and into NM has its ups & downs, i.e. inclines/declines (the 8's are in the Jacumba area outside of Calexico). If you move to NM, go at night when the traffic will be lessened. ALSO - semi-tractor trailers can go the same speed limit as cars so be aware that you will be passed by a speeding truck weighing 10's of thousands of pounds going 70+ mph. (The NM Legislature forgot to take physics.)

There is no "fudge factor" in NM as in CA. In other words, the CA CHP will overlook 5 mph over the speed limit and not pull you over. In NM, it is NOT that way and you can be pulled over & ticketed for going even 1 mph over the limit. They look for out-of-state plates too. So be aware! (Navy blue cars or white cars NM state troopers/sheriff's vehicles.)
