Sacramento. Nothing fancy. Kind of like having a Midwest/Heartland city transplanted to the West Coast. Friendly people. Just folks. Lacking in drama and excitement. The backyard BBQ/swimming pool is our culture.

I'm not from California but I go there all the time. I pick San Francisco, just because I thinks it is an amazing city. I dont know what it is about it, but it is awesome. It is a really cool city.

Default San Diego

Born and raised in San Diego.....You just don't understand how great somewhere is until you move but Weather, laid back, access to everything water, snow, desert, mountains, Theme parks, short drive to L.A., you name it. Pretty good K-12 education, excellent medical facilities.

You really cannot paint the picture....words are simply words and under valued.

It's got to be San Francisco for me. When I first saw this world famous place I was awe struck!!! I was on my honeymoon and I just couldn't stop thinking 'wow' - I'm in San Francisco!!! - I can't believe it!!!! I never felt like that seeing Sacramento or San Jose - maybe I did abit seeing LA for the first time but I distinctly remember feeling something amazing when I realised I was in San Francisco!!! - (btw felt the same when I saw NYC for the first time too!)

My favorite aspect is that the cities are all so different from each other. In states I am familiar with, the large cities are usually fairly similar.

However, I love San Francisco. When we go there, and we try to go at least 5-6 times a year, I feel like I have stepped into a time machine. So much of it is like being in the US 70-120 years ago, yet it is well kept up. And boy, is it ornate and varied.
