Default UC Santa Cruz

I am a transfer student probably going to UCSC next fall, and I have no idea where to live. The on campus and off campus housing seems really wierd. If anyone has any ideas of good places to live for a student (safe, close to school, etc) that would be amazing. And maybe prices of houses too. I'm from San Luis so the prices are pretty comparable both are expensive places to live. Thanks

I'm assuming you live in San Luis Obispo [if so, like Cal Poly, student housing info from UCSC should help]. I don't know of any "bad" areas in Santa Cruz.

anywhere you can!

no really, santa cruz is broken up into several pieces. UCSC students mostly stay on the west side, which is also the nicest part of town.
