It is hard to complain about the weather in California. From July to early October it is somewhat humid in LA & if you live inland from the beach it is a little too hot [around 90F]. But nights are always comfortable with a few exceptions & A/C is rarely needed all night. Autumn is perfect with low humidity, but 'santa ana' winds can make it a little hot even at night sometimes but no humidity. I get chapped lips this time of the year.
November is my favorite month; usually the first rain storm & cool nights but warm days. Winter is also perfect so long as we get some good rains but nights can be chilly for weeks [40's]. Spring is the continuation of cool weather until June with periods of overcast & mild temps [70's].
Just wish we had more rainfall even in summer so that fires wouldn't occur as much. Its hardly windy at all during summer but by October the 'santa anas' make people irritable by the heat/wind & dust.

I live on the central coast and it's beautiful! In fact, it's been a little too warm for my tastes during this time of year, but you'll hear no compliants from me!
CA weather is perfect for me, I can't stand snow and the fact that I can go to the beach in January and it's comfortable is just wonderful

To my fellow Cali dwellers - sssssh!! We don't want everyone to know!! We already have way too many transplants here. I'm hoping El Nino comes soon so more people move back whence they came. If the housing prices and COL haven't scared off enough folks, let's see how they handle El Nino next time he rolls in!

It is the way the sunlight is in California. Whenever you watch TV you can tell when something is filmed in CA whether it is Nor Cal or So Cal. The sunlight is truly golden.
Today I went for a walk at 6 pm. It was about 76 with a bright pink-orange-gold sunset at the ocean. The sunlight lit the palm trees in this beautiful golden hue. and it is the middle of October.

I live in a funky little microclimate. Winters are windy, rainy, but a little warmer than points inland. Summers are foggy, chilly mornings and maybe a little bit of heat for a day at a time between bouts of overcast. The best season for the northern peninsula is right now - autumn is calm, with clear beautiful skies, sunshine and temps around 70 degrees.

There is no Humidity. No gnats that fly around your face in the summer like in Florida or Texas or other humid moist climates. Even 100 degree days, don't feel like 80 degree humid days in Florida.
Shoveling snow gets old and I'm glad it does not snow here but there is a change of climate to nice cool rainy weather that lets you dress in winter clothes. (Bay Area) Not so much Southern Ca. If I want snow I just drive 2.5 hours to the east for some of the best skiing/snowboarding in the world.
