have you ever signed a petition? the 'volunteers' that wait outside grocery stores always have multiple petitions. they put the most 'important' petition on top, one that just about everyone will agree with, then hide another 2 or 3 below that they don't tell you about until you've signed the first one. its easy to get the sigs for 'lower' petitions because they already have the voter with clipboard in hand signing the 'important' one. at that point the signer just wants the 'volunteer' out of their face so they can finish their shopping so they'll sign it. what a joke!

Good news according to today's LA Times:

Movie producer Steve Bing has contributed $500,000 to the No on Prop 8 campaign & another Democrat, billionaire Ron Burkle is hosting a fund-raiser at his home next week. Melissa Etheridge & Mary J. Blige will perform. Expected guest include Barbra Streisand, David C. Bohnett, Tom Gregory, Kate Capshaw, Steven Spielberg, David Geffen, Greg Berlanti, Rob Reiner, Jeffrey Katzenberg, etc [also mayor Newsom of San Francisco, mayor Villaraigosa of LA, & several more Democratic politicians from California

The hate campaign of Republican evangelicals\ Mormons have been using their usual misinformation message of fear but it will not prevail. And those who support this kind of bigotry will be taught another lesson in scientific & moral principles.
