Default Commute Time: Huntington Beach to LAX

My husband is being offered a position in El Segundo by LAX. We are interested in living in Huntington Beach. Can anyone help me with the approximate commute time? I really appreciate any information! Thank you

probably 1-1.5 hours each way during normal commuting hours.

I drove from Santa Monica to Newport on a Friday evening not too long ago and it was an even 2 hours.

Can he work a flexible schedule? Like start at 630 or 7am? That would really help.

Check out sigalert.com during the time he expects to commute.

Also, Google maps has historical traffic data on it.

I appreciate your quick response. That is quite a long commute. Would PCH be faster than the 405? Or are there city street options? We were hoping to keep his commute no more than an hour.

PCH would take much longer, the 405 is really your only option.
