Many Community College Districts have fire academies and a fire science curriculum. I serve on my local fire district board and we hire interns from the local community college.

I can highly recommend Columbia College near Sonora and I'm sure all the other ones are just as good as they have to teach to the State Fire Marshall's Office requirement.

Good Luck to you, I should have stayed in the fire service, but I was too much of a hothead to work well in government.
