Default Fresno to SFO!

I am flying out of SFO (San Francisco airport) in December and was wondering if there was a way to get from Fresno to SFO. I looked into Greyhound and Amtrak, but am not sure if they stop at the airport. Driving isn't really an option. Ideas would be great! Thanks in advance.

Take Amtrak from Fresno to Richmond. Get off there and get on BART.

The Richmond station is a joint Amtrak/BART station so a change is easy to do.

You'd be surprised how much the airlines charge to fly Fresno to SFO, even as part of a connection.

There are many people from the Valley who drive to the Bay Area or Southern California to catch long distance flights so that they can save money.

True but that wasn't part of the original question.

Or maybe take Amtrak to San Jose instead and fly from SJC? Is that possible? I don't know the long-distance routes that well. I do know it's a lot easier to get to SJC from Diridon than it is to get to SFO from any Amtrak stop.

Thanks for the responses! I am looking for a cheap way because I'm poor, so flying from FAT to SFO isn't really an option (it was like $300 last time I checked!). I might try taking the BART. Is it easy for someone who isn't all the bright to figure out? :-x

Any other options that are really easy?

If you took BART from Richmond, you'd hop on the Millbrae train, take it almost to the end (San Bruno), then hop off and wait for a train that was headed to the airport.
