It has been many years...but I grew up in El Sobrante and so did my husband. Back then it was a rural area. That is no longer true. It has all filled in. The "Red Onion" was still there the last time I drove through. Great little hamburger joint. Most homes along Appian Way are nice. I think the nearest Bart station would be Richmond. Or maybe it would be over by Orinda. The area is beautiful hillsides with lots of trees and the fog rolls in and rolls out. Went to De Anza High School it was an okay school back then...looks pretty beatup now. Kids from Richmond use to be bused to it. Don't know about now. I still have friends that live there. Use to be Contra Costa School District. Don't know about now.
