looking for moving to san bernardino, palmdate, or lancaster

I'm from San Bdo, check out www.sbsun.com and read some of the stories, it's as bad as it's reputation. You can spend 500k on a house in SB and you NEED to keep loaded guns near whenever possible. They are trying to clean up from what I understand but it's too soon. Look at Alta Loma or the north side of Rancho Cucamonga.

Whoa there, cat5ive! I don't know you from a can of paint, but I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you to STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE PALMDALE/LANCASTER AS YOU CAN. I lived (owned a condo)and worked (K-8 school teacher) in Palmdale for 9 long years and believe me, you do not want anything to do with this area of California. Palmdale is a dump and Lancaster is no better. Save your money and try to buy a house someplace else.

Its nice city man... Go and settle there. The most lovable thing I found in this city is the vehicle moving service provided by the auto companies.

I dont know anything about palmdale & lancaster except that the summers are very hot. I do know alot about san bernardino. Its a high crime city with lots of gang bangers & illegal alians. I lived in the san bernardino area ( del rosa) for 10 yrs. Im lucky im alive today. SB ranked #25 as the most dangerous city in the nation in 2008. I do though work in SB once a month & have for the past 11 yrs. I usually (not always) go directly to work from yucaipa & drive directly home after work. I take the 10 west freeway to the 330 & exit del rosa ave so its mostly freeway driving unless i stop at walmart on east highland ave/boulder rd. Bottom line....San Bernardino is San Bernardghetto. Wow..this thread is from 6-06. I wonder what he decided to do. Followups would be nice even yrs later.

Not only is it hot, dry and big on crime, it has the most unhealthy air in the nation.
