I am looking to relocate to California. I am in search of an EXTREMELY affordable and safe area, and could use some guidance on which areas in California would be best. Academics, spirituality, and cost of living to income are extremely important. I have been leaning toward long beach. Not certain which area in long beach, however I am open to suggestions. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

What exactly is your budget for housing?
Where will you be working?
Kids? Ages?
