I was born in Minot, North Dakota (my dad is retired air force) but I have been in Southern CA since 1983. I consider this my home when people ask me where I am from, I say "Technically nowhere, military brat, but I claim CA." lol.

Born in La Mesa and raised all over Southern CA. Would hate to be born anywhere else. Can't stand this retirees epidemic.

dude, the jews have run hollywood since its existence, they didn't just magically take over. For me personally, I respect Jews. In all of American history, I don't think there has been any subculture that has been nearly as successful as the Jews. They are over represented compared to their population numbers in a number of high income industries: entertainment, law, medical, and politics to name some big ones. Apparently they're doing something right. Only the Asians in more recent history may be able match the jews in education levels.

Anyways, it's a good thing you're not in CA anymore considering your blatant dislike for latinos (there are a lot more than just mexicans in CA) and jews. Hopefully your problems havn't followed you to Florida with all of the jews and latinos there!

Who do you think manicures all those homes in the flats of Beverly Hills? ....you see any home grown white dudes weeding those beds? My uncle owns a roofing business in Chattanooga, TN, and he only hires mexican men; because they show up, work hard and don't b*tch and moan like some of us in the good ol US of A. Here's a question for your Cali folks... How you feel about the jewish folks owning all the best property in LA and orange Counties? And they own the Hollywood movie business too... yea, that sh*t your kids watch! One thing I noticed is jewish folks commingle amongst themselves, and rarely like doing business with 'outsiders'. How you guys like MTV, and all those other silly shows seen primetime? Kinda makes you feel embarrassed yea? Well, who you think green lights all those TV shows? Yep... jewish-american folks.

I guess it all boils down to the American Dollar.

I was born in Fresno but lived much of my childhood in Chico. I love northern California but life was isolated & I went east for college\ studies in Chicago\ New York for 5 years. I am glad to have lived outside California & the opportunity to visit a large part of our nation. But I returned to California knowing that it is my home & where my family lives.

It's great to read of generations of Californians. My ancestors go back to the 1800's Sacramento valley - 5 generation Californio

I have lived in Los Angeles for 30 years & love this city.

I am surprised to see so many multi-generational Californians.
I rarely meet people who have both parents born here.
5 of 6 of my children were born here. and my California family tree extends back to 1865. My grandmother's great-grandmother was born in Donner's pass as the family was moving here from somewhere in the South having lost everything in the Civil War and apparently disgusted with the North.
The other half came here from Texas in the 1930's.
