Let me reword this,,,I am not interested in the immediate Redding area, but the closer to the Mount Shasta area.I have read alot about the sex predetor percentage there,it does freak me out. What do you locals think of this,if they are in Redding, must they stay there, are they all over the area? Whats the deal with this? The most God Blessed gorgeous place in the USA (IMHO) and all any one has told me is its loaded with predators.People with kids live there, what do you think of the area for a family/schools/acitivities? How about Weed? Truckee? Thanks

Shastagate is on a distinguished road
Frizbe Hello. The areas north of Redding are incredible.Mt. Shasta is a beautiful place and a great place to raise your kids.
The sexual preditor question is a valid one but it applies to every community in the world. You can find the density of registered offenders on the city page for the city in question. There are websites that will even give you the neighborhood density and addresses.

Don't let those things control your life. Your family will greatly benefit from the Northern California communities.
