Default commute to whittier from orange county

Hi... I need some advice from the community. I'm considering taking a job in Whittier, but would like to live coastal. How's the commute from Manhattan Beach, Long Beach, Huntington Beach? presumably the routes would be 105 east to 605 north, or 605 north the whole way... thank you so much!!! My hours are unfortunately regular office hours 8-5...

Go to

Sigalert.com - Los Angeles & Orange County Traffic Report

and monitor this page during the time you expect to commute.

Also, google maps has expected traffic on routes for times you can plug in.

I had a job interview in Whittier a while back; am living in Anaheim and took Beach Blvd. all the way to Whittier Blvd., and found it to be smooth sailing. From Huntington Beach you could do the same. If I were in HB, I'd probably do that rather than deal with the 605.
