Default single 53 yr old lady/ Asian Indian origin from Delaware coming to temecula

I am looking to buy a home in Temecula now that the prices are so good. I am 53 yr old divorced single lady of Indian origin(Mumbai, India) and been in the U.S. for 30 yrs. Currently living in Delaware and want to start over in a new place, sunny and warm.

Anyone know if Temecula has a good proportion of Asian Indian families? I am a very progressive Indian and am comfortable with All ethnicities, however in my old age I would like to be around people of similar values and background, especially in times of need.

I would appreciate any and all information on anything Indian-related, e.g. Indian grocery stores, Indian food restaurants, Indian associations, Indian temples, etc. in the Temecula and/or neighboring areas within 10-25 miles or so.

I am not currently looking for work, although sometime in the future might be interested in some volunteer work. I am a microbiologist and anything health-care related would suit me.

I am also an avid gardener and would like to know how lush and green(not the environmental "green") as related to abundance of plants, trees, gardens, wooded areas, lawns, greenery, etc. Temecula and neighboring area is.

Is it a good climate to grow roses? Blueberries?

Is there enough water for lawns and gardens? Or is there rationing of water? If I move to Temecula I will hopefully be there for the rest of my life so would like to know what the projected water supply plans for the city are.

Also I am deathly afraid of snakes (not spiders) and any slithering types of creatures and was curious as to how often one might encounter snakes in the typical backyard or home. Considering that I plan to be working in the garden for at least 2-3 hours in a day, if the snakes are lying around in the yard, there is no way I would dare step foot on the grass. LOL.

What about the air quality? pollution? smog? Earthquakes--how often and how severe?

I know these are a lot of questions but being a single lady I need to know as much as I can before I invest ALL MY life's savings in any area.

Thanks all in advance.

Hi there! I have visited Temecula a handful of times over the past few years. I've observed a huge population growth over that time. Unfortunately, I have not noticed too many people whom would appear to be of Indian descent. What I have seen is a lot of active or former military types in the area. Most do not come across as the liberal progressive minded type. Quite the contrary.

The largest Indian community in this area is found in a city named Artesia in Orange county. Check out the following link, but please, I suggest you conduct your own web search regarding Artesia's Little India community. Wish you all the best.
