If the choices are san fran or pac. pal, i vote for San Fran hands down!!!! My other choice would be Beacon Hill in Boston or Chelsea in NY.

Pacific Palisades, please.

Ideally a home on both coasts so I also agree with Puffle, gimmie a place in Beacon Hill too.

Pacific Heights in SF, easily. Pacific Palisades is too isolated from anywhere except Santa Monica and Brentwood.

I love pacific heights, I don't like L.A.
