NO WAY do I miss the rain during the summer. This is one of the best parts of living in CA imo!

Default too much sun is boring

I also am disappointed that we don't get enough rain especially here in Los Angeles. It is too dry and too dusty. It is just like Phoenix AZ. I don't understand why some people are so fascinated with day after day of the same non-stop sunny weather. I didn't move here by choice I came with my family.

Anyhow, that's my 2 cents. We need more rain

I prefer having true seasons, including rain, snow and ice (in addition to ample sunshine, of course)... and I don't consider 8-months-straight of total drought and fire hazard conditions to be 'good' weather.

People used to get really irritated at me when I complained about the always-sunny weather there.

Hell no, I love these rainless summers. I wouldn't want summer rain unless I lived in a hot, humid area like Texas (which I did ) but I want to enjoy my LA summers and go out without the chance of rain ruining my outdoor adventures

Funny all these people here wishing the seasonal summer drought did not exist.

If it rained regularly in the summer, most of the native oaks would croak.

As would most of the chaparral.

The flora here are adapted to having that summer drought.

If that seasonal drought ceased, it would be an ecological disaster.

nope ... close to the ocean and surrounded by redwoods so there's enough moisture in the atmosphere.
it's the winter rains that i don't like so much ... though they are needed, i know.
i prefer snow.
as does my dog.
woof.

Hell no I don not miss rain. Nothing worse than going back east for a trip, spending a hundred bucks for a couple of tickets, only to have the game rained out. Forget it, ill take my rain in the winter, all winter if I have to. If it means my summer will not have a rain cloud in the sky.
