Start counting up threads and posts that discuss Ventura County, and if there are a lot, make your case. If Ventura Cty has more than San Jose, your case will be made for you. If there are fewer than San Jose, your case will be harder to make.
IMHO, I think Fresno, Stockton, or Bakersfield might be the subforums most likely to be added.

Maybe there could be a "Central Valley/Central Coast" subforum...

The Central Coast and the Central Valley are extremely different. I don't think I've ever read a post by someone who "couldn't decide" between Bakersfield and Santa Barbara. Meaning, a Santa Barbara thread wouldn't fit in with Bakersfield threads and vice versa.
What is interesting is Florida has 11 forums and North Carolina and South Carolina each have five.
California only has seven.

I don't know why there isn't a sub-forum, but yesterday one of the dance troupes from our studio was on their way to do a show in Ojai when a motorcyclist lost control of his bike and hit their van. The van burst into flames and a couple of our people were injured. The motorcyclist was killed instantly. They didn't get to perform and everyone came back home last night. Lots of tears, sadness and shaken up dancers.

I used to ride my motorcycle around there. Very pretty area. Too dangerous for me. I quit while I was ahead, sold my bike and now sit here and type on City Data.

I used to ride my KZ 1000 on highway 33 and 150 up through mount Pinos. Great waterfalls and places to take your girl. Remember Matilija hot springs? Owned by a church now. Wheeler gorge, Foster park and Sespe.

This is an old request to get a Ventura County area forum. In a former thread I mentioned that a Central Coast or Try County sub group should be started. That would include San Lous Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County. As another poster stated, most of us don't compare Santa Barbara to Bakersfield. we may compare Santa Barbara to Ventura though. similar beach communities with somewhat large populations. It's no LA or NYC, but the population in either city rivals many in the fly over states that have their own forums.

For reasons not entirely clear to me the admins do not like creating new subforums. However it seems funny that North Carolina should have a dozen subforums while California, the biggest state in the country, has 4.

Sassberto, am I missing something?
I only see 5 subforums at NC and 7 here in California.
