Because of all of the taxes per gallon and the special formula cocktail of gas we use in our California Emissions vehicles.

Don't forget the opposition to building more refineries. That would increase supply of California's special smog-fighting blend.

Interestingly, California is not the highest in per gallon taxes at least as of January 1. Looks like Washington state has us beat.
