If your English skills are up to par, I'm sure you could become a certified translator.

There are always openings for Arabic/English translators. I have a feeling the most jobs would be in the D.C. area, but one never knows.

Check out the Defense Language Institute here is Monterey. Monterey is a very cosmopolitan area because of all the ppl from around the world working for the DLI. Your skills would be in high demand in schools like this.

My husband is an attorney who works primarily in the Federal courts and he utilizes translators all the time. Check with a Federal court to find out how to get on their list of approved court translators. He isn't here right now, otherwise I'd ask him who to contact.

If I may ask what does that type of job pay?

I have no idea. I know when he needs a translator for one of his court appointed cases, the government pays for the translator.
