San Bernardino is like Minneapolis, and Riverside is like St. Paul, SB is like Dallas, and Riverside is like Ft. Worth, get it? SB is like LA, Riverside is like Long Beach.
San Bernardino is the capital/main city, Riverside is the secondary city and Ontario is the getway city like Pasadena

I find it incredible that this is even a contest! Anyone with familiarity with both these cities would say Riverside. If you compare the two in any category you would have to say that Riverside is the capital of the IE..in terms of population, education, culture, recreation, etc. I would almost like to put Ontario/Rancho above Berdoo. Not that it wasn't a great city in its day..I'll even give it credit for having the first McDonalds restaurant. But Riverside is without any doubt the hub of the IE...

GrahamAW01: You dont know that the IE cities are in a compromise to have San Bernardino the major city of the IE, with the new international airport, new downtown skyscrapers, high speed bus, and really new construction every where

Living in Riverside, lived in San Bernardino, after doing research before casting my vote, I found that San Bernardino has great plans, most of which are underway, and yes I did find that Riverside and Ontario are helping San Bernardino grow. San Bernardino is the Capital/Main Hub of the IE.

Default It's Riverside!!!

I would go with Riverside. I don't totally agree with those who say that San Bernardino was in the ascendancy in the past.

Riverside was a hub for orange growing and other citrus fruits in the area long before other places, and is more than San Bernardino in population now. Plus it has some room to grow.

This is not to bash San Bernardino, by the way. Someone else somewhere has said that San Bernardino is the brawn of the IE (trucking, transportation, manufacturing, etc.) while Riverside is the "brains" (a UC, an elegant "Old Town", etc.).

I got turned around in San Bernardino recently trying to get to Twin Peaks (that dratted 215/30 split where the 30 isn't identified as such, just "Mountain Resorts") and was able to get a good view of a few residential neighborhoods in the city. Felt like a mix of Pasadena and Las Vegas (off of Waterman) but a little more shabby chic and not as hot.

Anyway, sorry to be a little off topic.
