I now live in NH, and am contemplating moving somewhere with good year round climate.

I am looking for an area that has local outdoor life; such as biking, kayaking, hiking, boating etc...

Yet, I like the city ( not too big) with all the benefits of city life; nice outdoor restaurants, all the shopping stores etc.. educated people

and I like to love with nature for its beauty and wildlife.

Short of discovering myself( no time) how do I find if these places exist. If not Calif then where???

Not to steal you away from Ca but we just moved outside of Roanoke and compared to NH I'm guessing the winters would be considered mild to you. The outdoors here is amazing with the AT for hiking, Blue Ridge Mtns...rivers, wildlife abounds...downtown Roanoke has some cool and funky restaurants, educated people (haven't met alot of dummies,lol)...

Then if you are bent on Ca, the only part I know personally is socal and you have plenty of opportunity of course for boating/hiking...the beauty/wildlife is very different than here. But since you were asking about another locale, I thought I'd throw that out there

San Diego is probably what you are looking for.

Most of what you desire (except good year round climate) can be found just about anywhere.

What line of work are you in?
Where will you find a job?
What is your budget for housing?
