Reasons I want to move;
Virginia can be nice, but I'm a warm-weather lover and frequent beach go-er, anddd I possitivly hate my dad, so I figured; opposite side of the country? None of my crazy assed southern-consertive relatives [excluding my mom and sister] can find me there. Weed-smoking is pretty rampant there also... and I'm not like, a pothead or anything but I enjoy the occasional buzz I have a couple friends who say they'll be my roomates, along with my mom and sis I think I'd be okay monetarily...

Feedback please

Hmm... personally I'd say... figure out how you can make a six figure income first. So you won't have the tensions that go with roomies.

If that's not possible, come here with a plan on how you are going to get to where you can make a six figure income. (Education, business plan, whatever.) Because you are about to suffer sticker shock when it comes to home prices and cost of living.

You are going to want a six figure income, I promise.

It ends up like that only too often, If she doesn't know people in the pits of california and doesn't have everything planed out get the cardboard box ready. And even with the best of plans it can still end up that way.

16 years old! Young enough to have had everything provided for her. Has NO idea of the meaning of a "bad economy." Her dad needs to take the ipod, computer and cell phone away so she knows what doing without really means. then she can hate him a little more and get a clue what reality will be in "Cali!!"

If you're good looking and you take the bus or train to L.A., there will be someone there to greet and meet you. I suggest you NOT take them up on their offers of assistance. Ignore them.

Another suggestion: If someone says they can get you an acting job, and the location of the shoot is in the San Fernando Valley, it's porn. In fact, no matter where it is... it's most likely going to be porn. If you don't know what the San Fernando Valley is, you're not ready to come to L.A.

I call California Cali and so do alot of people i think it's kinda rude how some people thought they had to throw that in there. So my advice is if you are going to move to Cali have a good plan have atleast 10,000 saved up. Thats just me to be on the safe side. Try to pick a city that is not LA or San Diego so you don't need a 6 figure salary. Some city are gonna be hella expensive and some arn't just do your research before you go.

I haven't seen her back here in a few days, what do you want to bet she was upset with dad, hates her life (remember she is 16) and decided she would run away, but she could run away in her mind by posting on the net. Now, she has calmed down.. I doubt she really plans on moving to Ca..At least I hope she doesn't..

Wow... and all this time I've been hearing what a "progressive", understanding "free-speech" state Cali (oh, pardon) California is.

Character flaw? Since when were figures of speech or pronunciations (whether correct in your mind or not) parts of character?

Signed a Califorkian... how do yall like that one! Hah!

Suggestions for a teen aspiring to move to CA?

Study hard, get into a colllege in CA. Or study hard in some other state so you can get a good job and move here.
