Smile We're moving to California and we need help!

Ok, here's what we need help with.

We have a 1 year old child and want to live in a safe, family friendly city.

I have sever asthma, and allergies, and need good air quality, drier weather preferred.

We can't afford alot for a house. Mabey like, 80,000.00

Needs to have a lot of job opportunities, or at least ver close to a city that does.

We are eventually going to start a photo gallery/photography studio where we move, or very close by.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Is it OK if it is on the beach?

That is sooooooooo not going to happen. You couldn't buy even a half of a house for that amount.

Or maybe Beverly Hills?

The $80,000-limit pretty much knocks most of CA out of contention. Can you rent instead? Would you mind living in a mobile home/trailer park?

And unemployment in CA is sky high. Very few job opportunities. Moving to CA right now, with your criteria, is a bad idea.

Places in your price range will have poor job opportunities.

maybe look in vegas suburbs instead. housing has crashed there more than here to some degree and while 80k is probably out of the question, you could always go work at a casino. they keep the air in there immaculate. weather is also dry most of the year except for monsoon season

dry air, 80,000, safe neighborhood, no jobs yet, there is no place in Ca that will come close to what you want and need. If you really want to re-locate, for whatever reasons, I would suggest parts of AZ, yes, maybe Vegas, or New Mexico..

I don't get these threads. All the OP knows is that they must be in California but they have no idea where. It's a huge and varied state. If they don't care where in this huge state they must live, how do they know they even want to live in California?

And the best news is that she'll have a relatively short commute to work from the bombed-out, one-room crack house in Santa Ana she and her family will be living in for $80,000.
