My dad and I went through Monument valley in July of 05 and it was about 103. Will it be like that but just hotter? We had a lot of water then and probably will also when we go through.

That's the reason there are heat advisories galore all summer. "Stay indoors, don't go out from 12-4PM unless absolutely necessary."

Good for you if you can manage 120 days with no a/c. You're the 1st PS resident that I've ever heard of who can defy the odds and run marathons at noon, in August.
Whatever you say, Jay.

You just have to be smart about heat like you do about cold. We lived in Lake Havasu that has much hotter temps than PS. I worked outside for 15 years, 8+ hours a day. The hottest was 128. I used to run and ride a bike all year, mostly early in the morning. I remember riding a century(100 miles) in July. Lucky for us, it only got to 108 that day. I was younger(30's) then and maybe not so smart.
I've been to PS in summer months and the temps weren't too bad. The wind was another story though.

Palm Springs and Palm Desert is what I think, Heaven on Earth is all about. I could definetely handle 112 degrees, and have. Walking on Palm Canyon Dr was like walking in a paradise. No matter how hot it is without humidity makes all the difference in the world. I so want to move there. I google map it everyday, check out the neighborhoods, and I read evereything TwinkleToes writes (love her).
That was the best vacation I ever had, I now know how much I love desert life. I love everything about it. To me anything below 70 is cold, and more than anything in the whole entire world, I hate humidity.
So palm Springs and the surrounding areas get a thumbs up for me.......
Now I must start begging my partner if we can move........

Is that a climate you could live in?
Yes. It would be comparable to our spring. LOL

I can somehow hadle this heat. I don't get uncomfortable (a bit) until Palm Springs hits 105 or so. I have walked the golf courses at 112-115 in shorts and a T-shirt and been fine. Like they say: "Its a dry heat". Try it, you'll like it, I promise!

My husband is a golf nut too. He'll be out on the course in the middle of the day in 115 degree heat too.

It can be as cheap or as expensive as you make it. I don't go to the casinos and I don't have any friends who do either. I have been to the casinos on a few occasions to dance, but walking through the casino to get to where the dancing is, it just doesn't look like my scene or my crowd.
