FRUITS and VEGIE'S IN CALIFORNIA

I know about the Oxnard strawberries, yum (lived there for over 3 years).
I moved to Texas and there is no comparison to the produce in California. California wins hands down.

What type of Fruits and Veggies will and do grow in the San Bernardino area and its surroundings ( i.e. Rancho Cucamonga, Lake Arrowhead, Grand Terrace ect....)

That's so funny. I was just about to write the same thing right before I read your post. I live in an area which produces avos., so I'm used to nice fruit. I have a good friend who lives in Omaha, who I visit every 5 years or so. He lived in CA as a teenager for a few years. He would always ask me to bring avos. when I visit. I never saw them first hand until a few years ago when he took me to the store. They looked like the pit wrapped in the skin, he doesn't buy them he says they taste horrible. He said people out there have no idea what avocadoes are really like. To the OP, not to sound like a jerk, but CA is the agricultural capitol of the WORLD. That was kind of a silly question

Yes, you can grow bannanas in Ca as well as other tropical fruits. We have...dates (palm trees), strawberries, persimmons, apples, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, peaches, apricots, nectarines, figs, avocados, every conceivable type of nut... broccoli, cauliflower, squash,...carrots, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, celery, potatoes, cillantro, parsley, ... pineapple-guava, cumquats, passionfruit, watermelon, all types of melons,.... asparagus, artichoke, ...lettuces... grains (oat, barley, wheat, etc)....

I truly cannot think of anything we coannot grow somewhere in the state...

I built the Schwinn bycycle plant in Rancho Cucamonga back in the early 80's. Next to the lot was a large grape vineyard. That is when I learned the difference concerning table grapes, stripped the enamel off my teeth.
