I guess living amongst all that greenery and having Starbucks all over the place didn't lift your depression, eh?

19 and the world is your oyster and you want to go to Las Vegas? Hoo Boy, if I were you I would go to Chile, or Montana, or Alaska. Or, if I wanted to be in Nevada I go to Elko, but Vegas? Once you become used to the bright lights, it is just another big city, just hotter.

I love California, it is the only state I have seen where truly everyone could find a place to live that they like, due to its diversity.

Here are my top reasons:
1) Job Opportunity
2) Close proximity to Asia and Mexico (sushi and tacos mm mm)
3) The Parks and National Forests.
4) The cold water ocean of the Pacific, making great weather.
5) The Cool People.

California has the best people, it is a very ethnic and racially accepting part of the country which I think explains a lot about its economic position.

i love northern california. its my home and i'd never think about moving. we've got the mountains, good weather, the ocean, and where i live in humboldt there isnt much bad traffic and there are tons of nice people. most people think of california as traffic congested with people everywhere, but that isnt the case in humboldt. its nice and serene.

As a native Californian, I have to say I love the choice in food. I'm in the Bay Area now and the choice is outstanding. Sushi, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Dim Sum, Italian.. anything you crave, it's here. Also, so many choices in activities on the weekends- museums, State parks, the variety of things to do here is like no other state or even country. Oh yeah, the weather also!
