They were also going to try to ban Black cars, but I think these concepts are just that, concepts. I would like to have a cooler car in the summer though. I don't think it's a bad idea to have the OPTION of paying more for a "cooling" windshield, but by no means should it be imposed as a law. Personally I would pay extra for this windshield. I hate a hot interior, back all sweating, yuck, hate it.

Elementary my dear Watson. Elementary! Anything the state mandates for car manufacturers ends up adding to the price of the commodity so we pay for it in the end. It's kinda like a hidden tax. Guess you don't mind that though. Personally, I do, especially as cars can now cost more than my first home.

I just love how because the government mandates it, then it MUST be practical as well. Shoot, why not just mandate that all cars must come with ejections seats and teleportation ability?

Are you serious? Integrated GPS units can have their antenna mounted on the roof but the rest along with aftermarket or portable GPS units are are SOL.
