Default Best places to live in Napa

I'm starting a new job in Napa County (near Oakville) - looking for a 1 or 2br rental. Would prefer a safe, convenient, cute neighborhood. Love St. Helena, but find the rental options are limited and pricey ($1800+).

Can anyone recommend the best affordable areas to consider?

Thanks in advance!

I lived in the City of Napa for one year and don't recall any neighborhoods that were not nice or safe. However, rents were then, and probably still are, high-priced. Perhaps you could look for a house-sharing situation, or garage apartment that might be more affordable ? Good Luck - Napa is a nice town and the Napa Valley is beautiful

The Napa Valley is a pretty pricey area to live.. For cute and safe, you may want to try Yountville and St. Helena..

Napa has a few bad neighborhoods (or barrios).. If you don't mind the commute, I would strongly recommend Sonoma County over Napa County.. Much more ethnic and cultural diversity as well as slightly more affordable..
