Boy, ain't that the truth. And none of them want to work and they all expect a free education.

I guess I'm the fool for actually working to put myself through college.

OK, dont' get me wrong, I think college should be affordable, but I've seen too many of these young adults that don't want to work for anything. Absolutley lazy and self absorbed.

done venting.

Alright clark.. YOU STATED WHAT YOU MEANT ! .. There you said it .. Let me zoom in and just make sure ... because I read it right and responded right the first time ....

If you could.. please re-read my post.. I, in great detail, defined how in now way did you provide any form of data or logical argument to show he was mistaken.. Your worthless piece of data could actually be argued to show just how screwed up socialism is. On your quite vivid recount of history .. I could go into a lengthy accurate recap of that for you too but I don't want your eyes to glaze over. On EU, i would love for you to provide me w/ a lesson as to where all that wealth comes from in that socialist dump.. Lets do a quick measure of how much 'old' money is still wondering around in both the EU/UK. Lets do a quick measure on what exactly it is that they produce for the developed world besides aristocratic relics of fashion/art/design catering to the wealthy... There's a reason why you went to the outback.. I suggest your twisted views of (reality and the world other people live in) stay there. I don't usually get into personal attacks but your nonsense drivel really pushed me there... I wish there was a universal truth that slapped people like you in the mouth when you began uttering such nonsense.. the world would be a better place. Next time you are out consuming.. Or maybe you don't do that in the outback.. Do me a favor .. Let me know what product says : made in the EU . I can think of one source of their income.. Tourism and people buying products from a disneyland utopia whereby one doesn't have to work for a good life... Its a funny thing that human support for things that embody their fantasies.. Sadly after you pull your nose out of your behind ... you find, that such a place wouldn't exist if it weren't for others actually doing something and thus the paramount reason why socialism fails... Unless of course you have a world full of able bodied intelligent people who like being some monarch's slaves.. Which is the funny thing about socialism... Humans desire to compete.. and so funny that you visit these 'socialist' countries... whereby the catholic church live as kings over their 17.2% unemployed citizens living in what we call in the U.S 'projects'. Whereby ferrari's/exotic vehicles and lavishness are the norm for but a few and others only dream of having 1/5th of what americans have... But, from the looks of it, the US' population is signing right up... Don't let a crisis go to waste they say.. and they are sure making sure to stick it right where it belongs w/ this one.

Cheers mate !

This is bizarre apart from being outrageous. Posters have the nerve to come here on a fairly neutral board and tell us that socialism is good for us. Well they actually never come straight out and tell us to go socialist. They just make clever, sneaky statements to argue their point.

Never thought I'd see this going on outside of one of California's colleges. I believe that these socialists have been emboldened by the gang occupying DC. With a radical Marxist for pres the socialists think they have the cover to come out and push for the socialist transformation of our country. But sneaky as they are they won't find it so easy. Much hangs on the 2010 elections.

The poster cannot tell the difference between "good for us" and "not evil"

Me, I like my socialized healthcare, and so do millions of other veterans, I like my socialized police forces and fire departments ( you do know that fire departments used to be private and charged you for services, don't you?)

I used to have a government job, they gave me free room and board, free clothing, free medical care even paid for my trips abroad a month's paid vacation every year. It was a great job, definitely socialist, and I liked it.

Rants like yours just show the world that you are sadly lacking in thinking skills.

But you've never told us how you like the inevitable outcome of socialism: Tyranny. Are you OK with life in Cuba or Venezuela? Should we be more like them? Or should we have just a little socialism and stop there?

That is just plain nuts, How can you possibly think the inevitable outcome of socialism is tyranny?
Are you completely unaware of world political systems?

Can you even define socialism?

Look at what's going on in DC right now. Totalitarianism on the march. Don't want health insurance? Too bad. Either you get it and pay for it or the government will force you to have it. And please don't argue semantics. Failure to buy health insurance under BO's scheme will cause you to be fined. Refuse to pay the fine and see what happens. Of course force will be used.

Look at the myriad of laws controlling your behavior in California. Business owners can tell of their nightmares dealing with heavy handed California bureaucrats. And this is just the beginning. The gang in DC are anxious to control your energy use and much more. I can see no end to the control they want over our lives. Next election may stop them. Sure hope so.

another poster using the term, BO, and also a bit confused as to the facts. But perhaps the poster can give us a link to Obama's healthcare bill, you know, the one he presented to congress.
