Default Ridgecrest Folks

Hi, I don't live in Ridgecrest but my fiance does and I got on this board trying to find out some information about the area. How is it living there? He is in the military so we have many options but I have a son that will be moving with me to Cali next August and I was wondering what kind of jobs are out there for Administrative fields.
Thanks
Amber

Default nice place

I lived there for a year from 2003 to 2004 and loved living there. Ended up moving back to the midwest for family reasons. The real estate and job situation there is incredible, the base has hundreds of new job openings due to the government realignment (BRAC) and houses there are cheap. I'm considering going back soon.

I grew up there and what a wonderful place it was to grow up in. Definitely make the move if the offer stands. You won't regret the beauty the desert has to offer. I work in Los Angeles and miss Ridgecrest. If I ever have the opportunity you have, I will move back. There's still a small town feel about the place and the local residents are polite and speak english. So jump at the opportunity if you can.
