Don't worry. Need 'em here in Texas too.

Learned it the hard way in CA. Got a $74 ticket (a lot for a 16 year old) for not having one. Crappy part is that the dealer didn't give us the front license plate...

No problem... working around the car business the Dealer is 100% at fault and responsible... might take a little time... but you will win.

Lots of times cars come in missing a plate... as part of the DMV sale process, a new plate will be ordered and your temp registration is valid for the interim... don't even need any plates with a temp dealer supplied regs.

Don't even have to drill the holes... the new car supplied license bolts are self tapping and power right in with a cordless driver or the old fashioned way with a wrench/screw driver.

I wouldnt know how to install the plate like that. do they at least show me how to do it myself? I don't have a drill either..gee..they should at least install it for me if I'm willing to pay for the damn plate so I don't get a ticket.

that's the problem, lol. I'm moving there from AZ so I don't know if I can just go to some random dealership and ask them to do it for me. Unless they charge me, but I don't know how much that would cost

Cuz we are a poor state and every thing they can charge us without calling it a tax is done--politicians think we are so stupid that we don't know the diff between tax and fee...

Default Anyone read today's Oakland Tribune about Front Plate Citations?

Alameda County Sheriff citing the States cash crisis have been issuing tickets to those attending the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton...

Number one violation is missing front license plate followed by tinted windows, expired/missing tags and handicapped parking violations...

Story went on to say that the parking is patrolled and officers are on the look out for violations.
