Wanting to move to Cali
Hey,
So I am stuck between Cali, Florida and Hawaii as to where I want to move. I am 23 and single. Looking for any information possible about areas in california that are good to leave with a beach near by and not overly priced. Any other information would be great to help me make my decision. I know I have a lot to read before I make up my mind. But I am ready! Thanks!

Why do you want to move to California?
What line of work are you in?
Where might you get a job?
What is your housing budget?

I want to be away from what I have known as home for a long time. I want the beach and I want to meet new, fun people.
I do hair full time here in MN, I've also taken a few business classes and do admin work here in MN as well. I am fine with working hard to have this lifestyle.
Wherever I can find a job I'm so easy going!
Housing budget? that I am not sure of. Because I don't know what is high and what is low in california. I will not be on the wealthy end. I guess I'd say middle class. Renting is fine with me.

Hawaii and California are the two of the three most expensive states to live in, I hope you have a decent job lined up because if not you won't make it out here. Cheap housing is $800 for a 4-600 Sq Foot studio .

and what are you really looking for? How much money have you saved and what will you do for a job? .Cost of living is high in CA and Hawaii and jobs scarce. It isn't even easy to get a job at a fast food restaurant..
Now, a place close to the beach that isn't expensive, what is your actually housing budget? I think you need to stay where you are for now.
Now that I have read your response I can add one more thing, you do have to get licensed to do hair in California even if you are licensed in MN.
You want to find fun people, sounds like you are looking for a party scene and think people who live near the beach are all young and just live to have fun. Easy going or not, you are going to have an awakening like no other if you choose California.

And that would be in a borderline neighborhood.

Minnie is a great state. Why would you want to leave Minnie?

MN can be a great state. But I need a change. When you've lived here and done and seen everything, you have nothing holding you back and you are young why not try a new lifestyle for a year? The people are the same everywhere.. I truly am not a fan of all 4 seasons. It's nice, but I don't love that part of here. Just a change is what I want. Something really different from MN

Not overly priced and the beach don't usually go hand in hand.
