Hmmm. Bayside is sort of made of boards shoved together to form a restaurant that seems half a tent. Giovanni's is a deck where boats dock. I'd say Bayside is closer to a sit-down restaurant.

One problem you're going to have is that the restaurants on the Central Coast are mostly very small.

My favorite in Pismo is Giuseppe's--classy, expensive and delicious.

Another really good place in SLO--classy and doesn't have to be too expensive but is really California eclectic--Big Sky Cafe on Broad street.

Apple Farm is nice for breakfast--traditional food and nothing fancy-- good bakery items--but very cute and pretty with lots of flowers etc. and includes a tour of a water wheel and a gift shop.

Although I've only been to Bayside once, I can't say I'm tempted to go back, despite its apparent popularity. We regularly go to Taco Temple for seafood, but it's not the kind of place you go for a view. Some great dishes there though!

I'd say Hofbrau, the Galley and the Bayside.

You could always try the Flying Dutchman, I've had good luck there.

I've never been to Bayside or The Galley, but The Galley is pretty expensive if I remember correctly. My grandparents love The Galley. Hobrau is my favorite in the city.

We are in San Luis Obispo. I still have not made up my mind on where we are going to eat dinner. Can anyone give me a few suggestions? The Flying Dutchman is too expensive. We are looking for $8-15 per person for dinner, with a great view of the rock, sea food, and at Morro Bay.

Anything come to mind?

I still think Taco Temple is the best seafood place in Morro Bay. The Calamari and the fresh fish specials are among the best items.
You're not going to get a good cheap meal on the Embarcadero with a view, such as Windows on the Harbor (or whatever it's called).
If you're in SLO proper, Thai Classic or Jaffa Mediterranean are very good options for a bargain dinner.

Taco Temple is really phenomenal. There is a little bit of a view, but the food is just outstanding. Fresh, inventive, laid back, totally California.

Just ate at Taco Temple yesterday--if you try, you can eat fairly reasonably--like a taco for about $5.00. The temptation is to go for the platter meals--but they get high fast.
