My humble questions are : should I, even if I am not obtaining the job, move to Oakland, or other place in CA ? I lived before on the East coast, it is wonderful but the winters are harsh. Do you believe CA will continue to go down in the next 5 (10) years ? I am a woman in my fifties who likes art and open minded people, (I am not taking about drugs etc, I am just accepting other opinions with a smile, not a judgment). I would like to live in a city where I can walk, I am not in driving very much.
Thank you very much.
There are many nice areas in Oakland. You should find what you want there. All Californians will accept your opinion with a smile as long as it matches theirs. Confirmed pacifists can quickly become aggressive if you say the wrong thing. Tolerance in theory only.

I mean, really--are you really from Chicago? Because you sure as hell don't act like it.
How are people from Chicago supposed to act?

Hey, did you find a job in Oakland yet? Have you moved there? I just applied for a job there today, I too live on the East Coast and getting very tired of it. I have been unemployed for over a year and feel stuck, want to get out. Can you possibly email me with more info?? oodie16y@yahoo.com
