As if.
I've lived in both and Sac is nice, but Oakland feels much more like a big city.

Yes I agree Oakland has more of an "urban" area if that's what you are into. I would just say overall the Sacramento area is nicer and has less riff raff than Oaktown.

What does Oakland have that Sacramento doesn't. You guys got the A's and the Raiders I'll give you that even though you guys don't deserve the A's. Even when the A's go to the playoffs the Colliseum still doesn't sell out.
Also, if you lump yourself in with SF then you obviously win but I think we are talking about Oakland here.

As someone who is heavy in the nightclub scene in Sac, I can tell you that I meet a lot of people that come up here from all around the bay, even the far away places like Berkeley and SJ (college students). No they don't have friends up here they just come to club.

I agree, there are a lot of snobby Bay Area transplants in Sac. They move here and then ***** and moan all the time. Go back to the Bay and **** already. The also act like somebody forced them to move here in the first place.

Sacramento is less ghetto but Oakland is less trashy.

If you go to around Oakland on weekend nights you always run into Sac people at restaurants and bars.

Well our liquor stores, nail salons and chicken and waffle restaurants are definitley not as good as Oakland's.

Actually your restaurants overall are in a league well below Oakland's.

A's, Raiders, Warriors. I will lump it with SF, because it is the SF-oakland Bay Area, and I can see SF from my condo window. It takes me literally 15 mins to drive into SF 49ers across the bridge or Bart, Giants Across the Bay, San Francisco Across the Bay, Actually being ON the bay, better weather, more cultural events. Do I still need to go on? Oakland is not Isolated like Sacramento it comprises of the metropolitan area and no you can't compare it to Folsom, Elk Grove, Citrus Heights etc etc.

Oakland is blessed with a great climate... not too hot or cold.
We also have a world class port and scenic vistas and surrounded by lots of parks and open space...
Air Quality is also quite good as compared to Sacramento...
About the only downside I can see is Sacramento is close to the Sierra...
