Yea, the numbers are lying, Oakland is a really safe city that attracts the best and the brightest. I mean there is hardly any riff raff at all.
No the numbers are not lying. But do you think numbers somehow apply to real life the same way they get applied to a spread sheet? Some neighborhoods in Oakland have LOTS of crime and are pretty poor. Other neighborhoods are perfectly safe, vibrant, and even extremely wealthy.

^ Nope, no crips in Oakland. Or anywhere in the Bay Area. No bloods either. Sacramento does have plenty of both though

Sounds like Sacramento. Except Oakland has many more upscale areas and wealthy households than Sacramento.

I know...its totally shameless and embarrassing.

Sac is decent but they are neglecting all the trashiness there. We're talking Jerry Springer.

Yes, Sac has much more visible gang activity than Oakland.

I was at a gas station on Florin Road in 06 and a bunch of wannabes walked by looking like bloods-it was hillarious.

But you know over there-they all bow down when you tell them your from Oakland-shivering like scared little girls.

And Im a yuppie for heavenssake-that's not even my scene(at all), but whenever I used to visit friends and family in South Sac, the whole block knew that guy from Oakland was there---so darn funny.
