I know this is a very vague question but any suggestions would be appreciated. THANKS!
Heck you can buy a place in Yermo for practially nothing.

I agree with the suggestion of Florida...why not start looking there? Or is humidity a big issue? Where are you located now, if I may ask?
We live in IL now, they really don't like it very humid. I don't know about to many areas in Florida that are not very busy and low crime.

You have obviously never experienced its disgusting, hot, humid summers. More correct to say that Chicago's weather is almost always bad, one way or another, except for a few weeks in spring and fall.

Temeucula and Murrietta are nice areas. If one had to work in San Diego or Orange county and drive from there to their work it would not be pleaseant, but if retired they are nice towns. Temecula is my favorite in the Inland Empire. They have wineries too if your parents like wine-tasting and such. From Temecula you are almost as close to University of California San Diego in La Jolla area as to UC Riverside I think.

Alberhill Ranch Resident is on a distinguished road
Well, you would enjou Santa Rosa or Ukiah, CAifornia - these two towns are north of San Francisco and beautiful. If you drive a little further up the freeway you are in the Redwoods and if you drive an hour south you are in the cultural town of San Franciso. There is plenty of work in Northern California and if you are still going to school you have many choices for a good education. My next move early next year (can't wait to get out of Alberhill Ranch in Lake Elsinore - biggest mistake I ever made - don't even consider coming to Alberhill Ranch). Move to Santa Rosa or Ukiah, Ukiah is probably a bigger bang for your buck and a beautiful area. If you family enjoy fishing, the lakes are about 45 minutes from Ukiah and Napa Valley is right there.
