Can all hybrid cars drive in the carpool lane in California or just certain ones? Also, if you have a hybrid car, does that mean you do not have to pay for metered parking? And, are there other benefits in Calif (besides saving money in gas) given to hybrid car owners?
Thanks!

Only those with the sticker, which the DMV is no longer giving away. The only way to get one is to buy a used car which already has the sticker. There is no other benefit, you still have to pay for metered parking.

And I believe only the Prius, Insight, and Civic Hybrid qualified for them anyway.

Well, We are still going to buy one but I was hearing all this great stuff regarding extra benefits (carpool lane, meter, etc) you get. But thats ok if we don't get the benefits, we are retired and probably will not even park somewhere where there are meters and we probably would not need to use the freeway much anyways. Thanks everyone for clearing it up.
