Default Moving to Stockton

My family is facing a possible transfer to the Stockton area. What is the best place to live in Stockton or the surrounding cities? We have small children and are interested in good, affordable family communities. We would like to buy a home, but won't be able to afford much (under 200 grand) since we also own a home in Southern California which we will have to rent out. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Try Lodi or Linden which are both commutable to Stockton.

You could try Escalon, which is a nice little town of over 7,000 people and about 26 miles from Stockton. There's nothing wrong with it like graffiti or gangs or anything like Stockton has. It's a pretty decent place near the Stanislaus County line.

The northwest part of Stockton is a nice area from about March Ln to Ben Holt Dr and up to Hammer Ln and all of this is east of I-5. This area is around Delta College, Webertown Mall and Lincoln Village. Granted, there are some areas of Stockton you will want to avoid.
