Default How Hot does Grass Valley get? How much fishing is there?

I'd love to get information on grass valley and surrounding areas. Does anybody live there who could give me a feel for the community and also the summer weather? Also, how much opportunity is there for fishing?? Thanks for your time and effort in getting back to me!!

Hot, and then, Hot. Fishing is fine. Homes and land are expensive. Grass Valley itself is not an attractive town, Nevada City, next door is one of the cutest towns in America.

I live in GV. Nevada City, especially up Banner Mt., is at least 5 degrees cooler all summer--of course it IS at least 5 degrees cooler in the winter, too. Avg. Hot in GV in the summer about 90 degrees, usually 10 degrees cooler than Sacto.

I frequently hear on city-data-forum that the air quality is not good at all (true?) ... until you get ... what? above 4000 - 5000 ft.?
If one has health problems and needs clean air, i suppose this would be an issue.

Dang Coyote, Saturday night, I figured you would be out cutting the rug. In CA, generally, towns are more habitable, and air is cleaner the higher you get, and no, not that.

I type that as I sit at 155 feet above sea level, but with our onshore winds the air is good. About that Buddhism thing, come Monday or so I will tell you where my wife spent her weekend getting all spirited up, I won't say before just in case there is some perv lurking that would find that interesting.

On that line, My wife solved a murder in Hawaii, while in her room in Truckee, I don't mess with her, she "knows stuff"

Yes, i understand about elevation but i thought the Grass Valley area in particular has unusually poor air quality 'cause of Sacramento and central valley pollution getting "trapped" up there ... or something like that.
I thought i read a year or so ago that it has some of the worst air quality.
Perhaps i'm confused ... quite possible.
Sat. night ... just another night ... i'm not a party girl and contrary to what Curmudgeon thinks, i don't do the s.c. drum circle, etc., etc., etc., thing.
What's this about your wife ... gets "spirited" up here somewhere and psychically solved a murder?
cool.
