Suburbs outside of Stockton?
Native Cali family who is currently living in Tennessee, with a possible relo back to Ca-Stockton area. We are originally from Fresno, so we are pretty certain that we don't want to live in Stockton. Can anyone offer advice on nearby cities near Stockton? Looking for good schools, churches, family oriented.

I like Linden about 10 miles east on Highway 26.

One of my coworkers just bought his first home in Ceres.. that was his choice for a family. I don't know anything about the town personally.

Linden is good. Also check out Lockford or Clements on Hwy 88 if you like small towns.

Any suburb of stockton will be a small, farming town with 75% immigrants and lousy schools.

Well, Stockton has an 18% unemployment rate and low incomes. Low income = low school funding = low API scores on standardized tests. The higher income areas on the edges of the greater Bay Area, like Livermore, Discovery Bay, Oakley, will match what you're looking for better.
