Default Need help on where to move

Hello, I am currently living in san jose but due to the economy its been almost a year now since I was laid off and still haven't gotten a job. My chances of getting a job in San Ramon, CA is very good I would say 80 percent or higher but still there is a chance I may not get it. If I do though it is over 45 miles from where I currently live. I was thinking of getting an apartment somewhere close by because for some reason apartments are so expensive in San Ramon.

Does anyone know of any adjacent areas where it is cheaper? Like maximum 20 miles from San Ramon? 1 Bedroom apartment would be sufficient for me and I am not looking for roommates so just apartments.

Thanks.

You can try Dublin, Livermore and even Castro Valley. Check craigslist for an idea of what the rents are in those areas.
