Default Don't Californicate my State?

I saw this on a bumper sticker in Boise in Idaho, my fiance said it has to do with Californians moving to Idaho, anyone else know any information on this?

Why are they leaving California I can't wait to go there?

Don't worry, move to Idaho, the Californians are taking California to Idaho, and Montana, and Nevada, and Oregon, and Washington, and Utah.

When you say you can't wait to go to CA, Which CA? there are a bunch of them, altogether different from another. Bridgeport is further from San Diego than just miles.

Over-taxed, over-crowded, over-lawed, over-regulated, high crime rate, higher housing costs, impotent and ineffective government, owned and operated by labor unions and other special interests, out of touch with mainstream America, need I go on?

Other than that its a great place with enviable weather and some impressive natural beauty.

Overcrowded in any part of the state where you can make a living
Overpriced housing in any city where you can make a living
Nearly the highest tax burden in the country
Huge regulatory burden on businesses drives up costs which ultimately get paid for by the consumer
Overspending government has finally spent itself to the brink of bankruptcy and is now looking to raise taxes on everything possible
State is increasingly becoming a foreign country many Americans don't care to live in

Its just a new version of a 30 year old motto.

Back in the 1970s "Don't Californicate Oregon" bumper stickers showed up on many cars around Oregon.

This article from 2007 has a quote which pretty much explains it continuing today.

Quote:
Sherrie Watson has lived in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, since she was 16 and is quite fed up with Californians.

“They complain how cold it is. And they just moved here because it is cheaper and to ’get away,’ but then they keep saying things like, ‘We did it in California this way, so why don’t you change?’ ”

“They came here because they liked it the way it was when they visited, but then they want to change it. I don’t get it,” she said.

Don't worry they'll mostly all be back in California once they realize there is more to life than a big house.

Heck, you can make $11.25/hour on unemployment here! And, I believe that with the Federal benefit you can get 92 weeks.
