Smile Mt Shasta area? Horses

I am looking around the Shasta area and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any horse people around. How the trails are. Could anyone recomend an area around Mt Shasta that is more horse oriented?

The McArthur/Fall River Mills area is pretty horsey. I think the singer Michael Murphey (Wildfire) has a ranch there.

Shasta Paints is in that area. Check out their website.

Down in Anderson is "From Rail To Trail", and would probably be easier to find on the net by searching Cals Special Edition. (a popular buckskin aqha stallion out of Cals Hi Bar).

Shingletown has that Wild Horse Sanctuary.

I'm sure there are a lot more. Anderson, Cottonwood, & others seem to o be pretty horse orientated. I hope they do what Norco did and pass a town law that every home has to have room for a horse. Stanky developers have made way too many bones as it is. Enuff already!

Happy Searching!
