A movie that was partially filmed in Nevada City, CA called, The Christmas Card, will be shown on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 28th, at 3:00 PM, pacific time. Much of the old downtown area appears in the movie. This is a good family movie with a romantic, Christmas theme. Ed Asner, Alice Evans, and John Newton appear in the movie.

It was a sweet movie, hope it is played again before Christmas. And a beautiful area for sure. Still some nice areas in California.

Well I'm glad Nevada City got good billing.

I just watched "Thomas Kincade's Christmas Cottage" which is set in Placerville, his hometown.

What a disappointment as to the setting. Sure didn't look like Placerville to me...that green park, the cemetary, none of it. The only thing that looked like Pville was the courthouse at the very end of the movie.

Producers, it's okay to shoot someplace else, but don't keep calling it Placerville!!! Call it a Sierra foothill town or something! That sure didn't look like Pville! Good grief!
