Scientists with no political agenda? Wish we had a bunch of them. Many scientists stand to gain $$ by promoting the global warming fraud. Colleges scientists get grants for studies on global warming. No one gives grants to scientists who aim to disprove the hoax.

The scientific process has been altered to fit contemporary times. Instead of proving a theory the scientists now vote on whether the theory is correct. The media then repeats the voting results as scientific proof. And hence we have the greatest lie ever told.

Hi, everyone. I have my "moderator hat" on now. Please discuss global warming in the Politics & Other Controversies forum; I'm sure there are plenty of existing threads on this.

While I'm glad we're finally getting some rain in the L.A. area, I could do without these cold temperatures! (Yes, to me this is cold. Anything below 50 is cold. )

Thank you, Sandy

Will be down to 35 tonight in Chino Hills. Had to buy an ice scraper today because my windshield was frozen over this morning. I'll be prepared tomorrow morning.

I actually had to warm up my car for a few minutes this morning!!! I can't remember the last time I had to do that. We have underground parking, so I didn't have to scrape my car.

I bundled up this morning in thermal underwear, a sweater, and a coat, plus a pair of gloves. (People from places like Minnesota are probably laughing at me right now! )

Be glad you are in CA. Average daily high is supposed to be 42 degrees this time of year on the Front Range. We haven't had a day over 25 in a week. Today's high was 8 degrees. Weatherman says our next day over 30 won't be until Saturday. And winter does not start for two more weeks!

Oh yes, I'm glad. I'm one of those softies. I don't think I could ever live in a place where it gets extremely cold.

The Bay Area has been extremely cold in the past few days. I went hiking in Tilden Park, but neglected to take pictures of the snow. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure my electric bill went up, but its ok.

Isn't it a great irony that the "Spare the Air" campaign happened on one of the coldest nights of the year? I wanted to use my fireplace, but didn't

Most fireplaces will pull warm air out of a room and send it up the chimney, cooling the house.

I'm really kind of enjoying the cold. The summer seems reluctant to release it's hold (it's still sunny) but I am looking forward to the infrequent days when it's overcast and even foggy.
